Join our completely free Nature Journal Club, where we observe nature in our local green spaces and connect over what we find (typically in or near Blackwood, Wales).
Silent Valley is part of the Gwent Wildlife Trust. The area is home to ancient woodland and July is one of the best times to spot Fragrant Orchid, Mash Helleborine, and Broad-leaves Helleborine. https://www.gwentwildlife.org/blog/andy-karran/flowering-beauties

When: 19 July
Where: Silent Valley in Cwm. Meet in the parking lot.
Who: All ages welcome! Some sites are more accessible than others.
Bring:
- Weather appropriate clothes/shoes
- Pen
- Paper (a notebook or sketchbook is great)
- Any food/drink you’ll need
- Any items you may need to get comfortable observing (comfortable seat or picnic blanket, for example)
