Blackthorn Skyway Cleanup

It’s that time of year again! Keep Pinellas Beautiful is excited to announce the 2025 Great American Cleanup (GAC) taking place from March 1st – June 30th. This Keep America Beautiful signature event engages thousands of volunteers, removing litter and beautifying locations throughout Pinellas County. The success of our mission relies on the engagement of residents to take responsibility within their own neighborhoods. Our partners and volunteers are individuals, families, students, civic organizations, businesses, and government entities who all want to improve the environmental health of the community in which we call home.

Please help us exceed last year’s accomplishments by joining Keep Pinellas Beautiful for this year's Great American Cleanup at Blackthorn! Volunteers will assist with cleaning the mangroves and shoreline. We can't wait to celebrate Earth Day with you!

Please Note: Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

WHERE TO MEET: Blackthorn Memorial Park - Cleanup check-in will be located near restrooms (See map below)

TIME: 9:00 AM -12:00 PM - Please arrive a few minutes early to check-in.

WHAT TO WEAR: Closed toe shoes are required. We recommend volunteers wear sun protection and weather approriate clothing.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Cleanup supplies will be provided. A water refill station will be available, please bring a reusable water bottle. Volunteers are required to sign our waiver upon arrival.

PARKING: Free parking is available (See map below)
