Blackburn Library Finds evening

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***

As part of the changeover to a new recording system in summer 2026, we are reducing our finds recording in May, June and July. This means that at our May, June and July events we can:

• Take in Treasure items
• Return objects we have borrowed
• Provide information on the new database and recording system
• Give identifications for anything we recognise on the spot

However, we will not be taking in non-Treasure finds or answering queries that would need research, unless they relate to a Treasure case.

We intend to begin taking non-Treasure finds in again at the next cycle of Finds Days, in late summer and early autumn. Please check our Eventbrite page nearer the time for details of these events. The finds we are taking in will change slightly, so please contact us ahead of time if you are unsure.

***ATTENDEE INFORMATION***

If you are collecting finds, you must bring either the pink slip we gave you when we took them in, or official photo ID. We will not return finds without seeing one of these. If you do not have either, please contact us at least a week before the event so we can discuss a solution.
