About this Event

Honoring Our Roots, Growing Our Future

Black Women In Nature was founded in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide a safe space for Black women to release, connect and grow their relationship with nature. In just 6 years, we have become a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, developed 20+ meaningful community and corporate partnerships, launched new and recurring programs, raised $200k+ in funds and connected with over 2000 Black women in Columbus and beyond.

Now, it's time to celebrate!

Join Black Women In Nature on Saturday November 7th, as we celebrate 6 impactful years of building intentional community in the outdoors of Columbus, OH and beyond! This event will include meditation, gentle yoga, hiking and reflective dialgoue.

This event is open to the public including our BWIN community, supporters, colleagues and friends. All are welcome!

What to Expect:

This full experience will take place outdoors at Sharon Woods Metro Park. Specific location (best place to park etc.) will be sent in an email the week prior to the event. The hiking trail is easy to moderate. No yoga mats or yoga experience is needed.

Bring a friend, dress comfortably and come prepared to receive care through nature!
