Black to the Coop is a cultural gathering where spoken word, storytelling, and cooperative economics connect. Come curious, leave resourced.
About this Event

Where culture meets cooperative economics. Come with curiosity — leave with the energy, connections, and resources to explore what’s possible.

Join us for a rich line up of spoken word from Lady Brion and Black Chakra, powerful storytelling panel with living legend Ed Whitfield, economic freedom strategist Tenille Patterson, and Baltimore's favorite ice cream co-owner Vinny Green of Taharka Brother's. From activities to meet and greets, you'll gain connections and helpful information, while enjoying good vibes.

For centuries, Black leaders have been using the tool of cooperation to get our needs met for ourselves and families. Let's continue in that spirit.

Enjoy food, drinks, and great community vibes, as we recconnect to our roots of cooperative economics, while exploring and learning about resources (financing and business coaching) and connections to help launch or grow your idea or business that could be Baltimore's next cooperative business.
