The Black Squirrel Trail Half Marathon takes place on the wonderful trails of Lory State Park to the northwest of Fort Collins, CO.The race offers a tour of the outer boundaries of the Park and provides breathtaking views of Horsetooth Reservoir. The opening climb ascends a little under 4 miles and 1,500 feet to the apex of the course at 7,000 feet on Lory’s west ridge. A rapid and technical descent follows, leaving 5 miles of beautiful, gently rolling hard-pack singletrack into the finish.
Bring your family and friends for the post-race festivities, featuring a BBQ, awards and FREE one-mile kids run.
