Get ready for one of Black Rock’s favorite traditions as we celebrate the Black Rock Community Council’s 50th Anniversary and America’s 250th Birthday with a full day of community, music, laughter, and hometown pride! 🇺🇸🎉From the 5K and legendary Bed Races to “The Best Small Parade in America” and the festival at Ellsworth Field — there’s something for everyone all day long!
9:00AM – Run for the Rock 5K
Kick off the day with a scenic run/walk through the heart of Black Rock! The race starts and finishes at the S.S. Norden Club.
11:00AM – Bed Races
One of Black Rock Day’s wildest traditions! Cheer on your neighbors as creatively designed bed racecars fly down Brewster Street. Costumes, chaos, and bragging rights included.
12:00PM – Parade
“The Best Small Parade in America” marches from Burroughs Community Center to Ellsworth Field with community groups, music, performers, and hometown spirit filling the streets.
12:30PM – Festival at Ellsworth Field
Keep the celebration going with live music by Rum Runners, local food vendors, family activities, community organizations, and fun for all ages!
