About this Event
Black Men’s Healing Circle: Honoring the Need for Rest
A donation-based wellness experience for Black Men to heal, connect, and thrive.
A Black Men’s Healing Circle on slowing down, listening inward, and resisting burnout.
January often comes with an unspoken expectation to push forward, move faster, and do more.
But the truth is — we are still in winter.
Honoring the Need for Rest is a healing circle created for Black men who are tired of running on empty, carrying pressure, and ignoring their bodies in the name of responsibility, success, or survival.
This circle invites you to slow down — intentionally and unapologetically.
Together, we will explore what it means to rest without guilt, listen to the body’s wisdom, and move into the new year at a pace that is sustainable, grounded, and aligned.
This is not about falling behind.
This is about choosing longevity, clarity, and self-respect.
This Black Men’s Healing Circle will include:
- Guided meditation and grounding practices
- Reflective journaling
- Group dialogue and shared wisdom (sharing is always optional)
- Nervous system regulation and breathwork
- Space to name fatigue, pressure, and unspoken expectations
- Tools for honoring rest as a daily practice
This is a non-clinical, community-based wellness experience designed to complement — not replace — therapeutic or medical care.
WHY THIS SPACE MATTERS
Black men are often taught to push through exhaustion, silence their bodies, and equate rest with weakness.
This circle challenges that narrative.
Here, rest is honored as:
- A form of strength
- A form of wisdom
- A form of self-leadership
You do not have to earn rest.
You do not have to justify it.
You are allowed to slow down.
