Black Love I Rooted in Resistance (An Art Experience)

As part of the Black Mothers March weekend, we are proud to present the opening of the Black Love I Rooted in Resistance art exhibition. This powerful exhibition centers on the enduring love of families who have been impacted by forced separation. Through heartfelt love letters written by parents, families and children, they raise their voices to resist the separation imposed on their families.

Each letter is more than just a message—it is a profound act of resistance. In refusing to accept the erasure of their bonds, these letters express the deep, unyielding love that Black parents hold for their children. Presented as art, these letters invite viewers to witness the essence of Black Love while challenging the systems that threaten the very existence of Black families.

The exhibition will be open from May 9 to May 11, 2025. We invite you to pick a date and come experience the raw, transformative power of love as resistance. Let the words and art speak to your soul and remind us all that love is not just an emotion but a force capable of defying even the most oppressive systems.
