In partnership with Multiverse Concert Series and The Museum of Science, Boston, the Rome Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to present the special concert premiere of "Black Hole Symphony." Written by David Ibbett, composer in residence of the Center of Astrophysics at Harvard University, this immersive new work has sonified the light of black hole galaxies as musical notes and chords, and woven them into a dramatic electro symphonic score.
The evening will feature a wide array of special guests, including soprano Indra Thomas. A pre-show panel will include a special conversation between the composer, physicists, Georgia-based scientists, and the conductor of the RSO, in collaboration with the Rome International Film Festival.
Doors to the 7 p.m. performance open at 6 p.m.
