About this Event
This Annual Slam brings together spoken word poetry and live blues/R&B music in a carefully curated, intimate setting in recognition of Black History Month. The evening is designed to honour Black voices, memory, and creative expression through rhythm, reflection, and presence.
The program features a one-hour poetry and music experience, followed by a Slam Social - an informal time to linger, connect with artists, and gather in community. The atmosphere is warm, reflective, and accessible, welcoming both long-time lovers of spoken word and first-time listeners.
