About this Event
Black History Month Week at The Wright Village
Still Here. Still Building. Still Us.
📅 February 23–25 | Raleigh, NC
Black History Month at The Wright Village is a three-day experience centering Black resilience, entrepreneurship, and community — past, present, and future.
Through film, conversation, and direct economic support, this week creates space to reflect, connect, and invest in Black-owned businesses and the people building them.
While the programming centers on Black history and Black business, all are welcome to attend, learn, and support.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This week includes three distinct experiences. You may attend one event or multiple.
🎬 Monday, February 23 | 6:30–8:30 PM
Reel Resilience: Black Business on Screen
Reel Resilience is a community film screening spotlighting Black entrepreneurship, resilience, and the stories that keep us building — even when the odds aren’t in our favor.
Following the screening, attendees will be invited into a guided conversation and shared reflection centered on legacy, perseverance, and what it means to keep showing up in business and in community.
Light refreshments are included with your ticket.
This experience is reflective, grounding, and welcoming.
All are welcome.
🏗️ Tuesday, February 24 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Built With Us: Black Business, Still Here
Built With Us is an honest panel conversation with Black business owners about longevity, adaptation, and what it really takes to stay in business.
This convening goes beyond surface-level success stories to focus on real experiences, lessons learned, and the systems — or lack thereof — that shape Black entrepreneurship. The evening will conclude with open networking and connection.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres are included with your ticket.
Ideal for entrepreneurs, creatives, supporters, and community builders.
All are welcome.
🛍️ Wednesday, February 25 | 11:30 AM–3:00 PM
Black Love Vendor Market + Lunch Pop-Up
The Black Love Vendor Market is an indoor, midday market celebrating Black-owned businesses, creativity, and economic power.
Shop a curated selection of Black-owned brands, connect with local entrepreneurs, and grab lunch during an easy drop-in window designed for working professionals and community members alike.
Lunch will be available for purchase on-site.
Come hungry. Leave connected.
All are welcome.
