Tea has always been more than a drink—it’s a ritual, a conversation, a way to connect. Join Mawe Apothecary on February 22nd at 3:30 PM at MAAT Bookstore for a Black History Month Tea Ceremony that celebrates African tea traditions, community building, and Black joy.
Inspired by the West and South African traditions, this experience will take you through three rounds of tea tasting, blending flavors and rituals from across the African continent. As we sip, we’ll reflect on the power of gathering, storytelling, and honoring the resilience of Black culture through shared traditions.
