Black History Month Assembly

Join us in person for our Black History Month Assembly, centered on this year’s theme: Telling Our Own Stories, highlighting the power of Black voices and the representation of the Black diaspora in media.

Through live drumming, spoken-word poetry, and student performances, we’ll explore how storytelling, art, and creativity shape identity, challenge narratives, and reclaim our history: past, present, and future.

This assembly is more than a program, it’s a space to listen, reflect, and celebrate the many stories that make up the Black experience. Come engage with powerful voices, support your peers, and be part of a moment that honors culture, creativity, and truth.

Info: After the assembly, join us in the school atrium for an African Marketplace featuring local African vendors, handmade goods, art, fashion, and food trucks. Come explore, support Black-owned businesses, connect with community, and continue the celebration through culture, commerce, and conversation.
