Black History Month 2025 Celebration

The City of Delaware Black History Month celebration is on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Sourcepoint, 800 Cheshire Rd. The event runs 4-6:30 p.m. The formal program begins at 5 p.m.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Mark Lomax, a critically acclaimed composer, recording artist, drummer, activist, educator and author. Lomax, a highly sought-after lecturer, specializes in the socio-political and spiritual aspects of African American art, music, and race and using the arts to build community. Also featured will be select works from Lomax’s performing group, the Mark Lomax Trio.
