Influential American punk rock outfit Black Flag formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California and is known for their raw, aggressive sound and intense live performances. They helped define the West Coast punk scene alongside other notable bands in the late 70s and Early 80s. The group's lineup has shifted frequently, with guitarist Greg Ginn as the central figure as a mainstay through. Their albums, such as Damaged, are celebrated for their emotional intensity and socio-political commentary. Black Flag's DIY ethos and relentless pursuit of artistic freedom have left a lasting impact on punk rock and alternative music scenes.
Formed in 1981 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, by frontman Joe King, The Queers are an American punk rock staple known for their catchy, melodic sound and irreverent lyrics. They emerged from the underground punk scene and became associated with, and to many have defined the pop-punk sound heavily influenced by The Ramones.
