The Black Excellence Exhibition is meant to explore the vast depictions of Black History and Culture while celebrating local Black artists.
About this Event

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Black Excellence Exhibition hosted at the Resiliency Hub!
Curated by Melchisedek Shabazz, this interactive art gallery highlights emerging Black artists in Virginia and creates a space for both artists and viewers to connect.
This year, we are celebrating Afrofuturism! Experience artwork ranging from paintings to prints and sculptures while immersed in spoken word and musical performances.

Afrofuturism touches on themes of reclamation, black liberation, and revisioning of the past and predictions of the future through a black cultural lens. The Art showcased will reflect a cultural aesthetic and explore the intersection of the African diaspora with science and technology.

We will provide an arrangement of Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments to enjoy with your viewing.
Entry is $15
