EVENT:
SITE IS BONE DRY!!!!!
Another year has come and gone and Valhalla has called some home, and with the veil between the world of the living and dead at their thinnest, Concordians both past and present, come and join us for our annual Ceilidh.
As a bit of an experiment this year, we're looking to make this lightly themed event...in this case, leaning into Nordic and Viking style. People are encouraged (but not required!) to dress accordingly.
Highlights of the day:
-Baronial Bardic Championship hosted by Master Robert Tytes : this years topic………….
Greetings Bards of Concordia,
Our annual Baronial bardic competition fast approaches and we are pleased to announce the format.
The competition will be over three rounds of performance where you will be judged on the skill of the performance, the complexity of the piece, and your ability to demonstrate the breadth of your skills.
Each competitor will have a maximum of 15 minutes combined performance time across the three rounds.
Participants are encouraged (but not required) to show off the wholeness of their art by competing with a musical piece, a spoken piece, and a piece they have not competed with yet.
Please be aware that by winning the competition, you should plan to attend Baronial court at our local events and organize the competition for your successor. You may also be called upon at times by their Excellencies to entertain the populace of the Barony as needed.
Please direct any questions to Robert Tytes who will attempt to answer them promptly.
-Silent Auction for Charity: This year, in honor of Toki Redbeard, all funds from the auction will go to Capital Pride. (Cash or check only)
-A&S Display by Thaïs the Weaver [email protected]……Something Old, Something New: This year's display honors our history, our journey, and our present. Bring your oldest A&S project that you can find and your newest project (completed or at least displayable) and tell us the years each one is from. No documentation is necessary, but feel free to bring it if you have it! There will also be a memorial display section if anyone wishes to include a project made by a Concordian who is no longer with us. Folks are welcome to email with any questions
-Activity Lounge: come and draw your own Norse Rune or color some pretty Norse pictures.
****This Ceilidh our wonderful Baroness has suggested a creative idea:
A Bling Thing: The populace are invited to class up your place setting—make it all pretty. (Either as individual or as a group)
Impress the baroness! The theme: Snowflakes. Winner will be the baronesses choice and the prize is a large drinking horn.
-Traditional games...and some less traditional ones.
