Schedule

UTC-05:00Location
Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis, Inc. | Chesterfield, MO
In January, our Middles group will begin a brand-new curriculum series through Junior Achievement’s BizTown in Chesterfield, Missouri!
👉 Over the course of 12 interactive lessons, students will dive into financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and real-world life skills. Students actually step into the roles of citizens, workers, and business owners to run a miniature town for a day.
🗓️ The program culminates in an unforgettable BizTown simulation day on March 16th, from 9:30-2:00 in Chesterfield, Mo.
🚗 Transportation is not provided but families are encouraged to carpool if transportation is an issue.
✋🏻 Parents also have the opportunity to volunteer the day of the simulation, which is a lot of fun to witness! We will need some parents to volunteer, but not everyone. More info to come surrounding this.
🌟 Why BizTown?
Having taught this program multiple times in public schools, I can confidently say this is one of the most fun, engaging, and relevant educational experiences available. Students don’t just learn concepts—they live them out. Some of the key benefits include:
💵 Hands-on financial literacy (earning, spending, saving, balancing a checkbook, and managing money)
🏢 Running real businesses and jobs within the BizTown economy
📊 Understanding supply, demand, and decision-making in action
🤝 Building teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills; Learning about the process of obtaining jobs, interview skills, etc.
🌍 Gaining confidence and insight into how the real world operates
🎯 This is education that truly sticks—because kids experience it in a way that feels real and exciting.
