Bits and Bots – An introduction to creative coding using Lego robots, explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects in a fun and interactive way. Hands-on learning, promoting creativity.
You will follow the design process, build a Rhino and get familiar with colour, distance, and pressure sensors. Test your programming skills, solve problems and control its movement to stop it escaping! Once familiar you could even create a fitness tracker, weather station, delivery cart or a life hack to solve a problem. The challenges encourage critical thinking and collaboration.
Along with your child you will work in small groups on a variety of STEM projects, exploring how to use maths and programming to control a simple Lego robot. With the help of our supportive and friendly tutors you will gain an insight into simple programming skills to control your Lego built robots.
Parents / carers must stay for this session.
