BISMUT are a Dutch instrumental powerhouse from Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Since 2016 their varying approach to music and different influences blossomed into a fantastic, funky, doomy mix. Their style has been described as #progressiverock #doom metal #stoner #heavypsych, and plain old hard rock—but it may actually be instrumental death boogie. Needless to say, there's quite a range of weird, wonderful sounds to be had at a Bismut gig. For a decade , Bismut have played gigs all over Europe, from cozy clubs to sick stages on big festivals like Into the Void, Kozfest, Sonic Whip, DesertFests Antwerp&Berlin, Krach Am Bach, Stoned from the underground and #dunajam
They’ll be bringing their brand-new album *Matsutake* (Tonzonen Records, 2026): this new record takes their hypnotic melodies to a whole new level – a mature blend of heavy riffs and pounding, groovy drums, steeped in psychedelic sounds.
