About this Event
Welcome to Birthworms, the book club where doulas, birthworkers, and birthing allies come together to dive into literature that feeds our hearts and grows our practice. Co-facilitated by Lawren Flynn and Joslin DuPuis and graciously hosted at the Upstate Lactation Collective.
Wiggling our way through birthy reads—we meet monthly to:
- Read & Reflect: Share insights, questions, and passages that moved or challenged you
- Connect & Care: Form deep bonds with supportive colleagues in a cozy, judgment-free space
- Grow Together: Explore themes like postpartum care, birth justice, trauma-informed support, and embodiment
- Nourishment: sharing sips and snacks in community nourishes our bodies and souls
What to Expect
