Birth Story Circle
About the Event
Have you been carrying your difficult birth story in your head, waiting for the right place to let it out? Join us for an informal, low-pressure gathering. This isn't therapy or a medical debrief; it’s a modern-day 'well' where we gather to listen to one another. Whether your birth was yesterday or years ago, you are invited to share a piece of your journey and be heard without judgment.
Intended For: Mothers, partners, or birth professionals seeking a space to share their story of a difficult or disappointing birth. *Note: partners attend separately
About the Facilitator
Nicole is a dedicated Birth Story Medicine® Facilitator, trained by Pam England to help parents and birth professionals find peace with their birth experiences. Rather than offering medical advice or standard talk therapy, Nicole uses a specialized, solution-focused dialogue to help individuals move through 'unwished-for' birth events. With a background in perinatal mental health, childbirth education, and clinical lactation consulting, she provides a safe, 'temenos' (sacred space) for parents to untangle their stories and reclaim their personal power.
Nicole leads these circles because she believes that how we tell our birth stories determines how we move through the world as parents. As a facilitator trained in the Birth Story Medicine model, she doesn’t look at your birth as a series of medical notes, but as a profound rite of passage. Nicole is qualified to hold this space not just because of her training, but because she knows how to listen for the 'medicine' hidden within the struggle. Her goal is to guide you to the gate where you can finally lay down the heavy parts of your story and walk forward with a lighter heart. Nicole doesn't just facilitate from a textbook; she facilitates from the heart of someone who has stood at the threshold of grief and found her way back. This lived experience, combined with Pam England’s solution-focused framework, allows Nicole to hold an exceptionally steady and compassionate space for others to untangle their stories and find their own 'medicine' within the wound.
