A workshop for you and your birth partner to practise and prepare positively for birth whether that is in hospital or at home, an induced labour or a natural one.
Join Kat of Mama Magic and Sarah of Breathing Space Yoga who combine their experience and expertise to provide this birth skills workshop for expecting parents/birth partners.
In the 3 hour evening workshop we will explore how active birthing, hypnobirthing, breathing and relaxation all play key parts to labour and birth.
The workshop price also includes
- a 1 to 1 online birth plan session with Kat to talk in more depth about your individual birth choices
- and a £10 voucher to use for postnatal mum and baby classes with Sarah
This is also a chance to make some new friends, ask us questions, enjoy some relaxation and get partners involved.
Complimentary to NHS and NCT courses, we include:
- what active and positive birth is
- the labour timeline and ways to work with your body and baby.
- an overview of the female pelvis and how to use it well in labour and birthing
- birthing choices including pain relief
- the 4 stages of labour and birth, hormones and techniques to use through each of the stages to support your journey positively
- birth positions, gentle yoga movement, breathwork, hypnobirthing and relaxation techniques which can support each stage of labour and birth
- sharing these techniques with birth partners so they can support you at each stage in the best way for you
- techniques for you and your partner to do together during labour and birth
- ways to navigate staying at home as long as possible and the transfer to hospital if that is your birth plan
- time to practise the techniques and we’ll even have a (unfilled) birth pool for you to test out.

a guided relaxation MP3 to use at home
- invitation to join a Whats App Group to stay in contact with us and other attendees, its a place to ask questions and share support
