Birmingham Colour Safari with Crown Paints
About this Event
New date confirmed!
Thursday 30th July!
Join us for an exclusive Colour Safari through Birmingham— hosted by Retail Design Expert Ian Scott and Crown Paints. Offering an expertly curated journey for architects and designers to explore the nuanced application of colour, materiality and spatial design within contemporary commercial and retail environments.
Commencing at Selfridges (meeting outside the lower floor entrance) and concluding at Harvey Nichols in the Mailbox, the route will incorporate key destinations including EE, LEGO, Lush and H&M. Each stop has been selected to showcase how leading brands thoughtfully integrate colour, finishes, lighting and form to shape perception, enhance customer experience and articulate brand identity.
Throughout the safari, you'll gain valuable insights into how considered colour and material strategies can influence mood, behaviour and engagement—offering both inspiration and practical relevance for your own design work.
The experience will conclude with drinks and networking at Associated Architects, providing an opportunity to reflect on the day’s findings, share perspectives with peers, and continue the conversation in a relaxed, collaborative setting.
The Birmingham Architectural Association is kindly supported by our sponsors by Altro Limited, Atrium, DLine, E H Smith, Crown Paint, CupaPizarras, MillerKnoll, Optima, Solus, RockPanel, and X Sign.
