Birkheads Wild - Curious Young Creatives AUGUST CULTURAL ADVENTURE

All Curious Young Creatives are welcome to August's Cultural Adventure to Birkheads Wild, an outdoor nature arts and activity centre - 'By using the outdoors we help young people to grow in skills and confidence, to think for themselves and become more fulfilled. Our work helps young people to understand themselves better, to feel a sense of belonging, to grow in skills and confidence, to be healthier, have pride in their own identity and to help them to contribute to wider society.'

On our Cultural Adventure we will host travel from Middlesbrough to Newcastle, meeting our Newcastle Participants in the city centre.

Together, we will all take the X30 to Birkheads Wild. In Birkheads we will have lunch - packed lunch recommended and snacks provided.

After lunch, we will take part in an exciting 'BUSH CRAFT' - which could be everything from Fire building to Nature mono printing.

Following Bush Craft we will focus on a Pen Pal project in partnership with young people from Trans Voices Young Company.

We will then board the bus back to Newcastle where Newcastle Young Creatives will say goodbye to Middlesbrough Young Creatives.

Middlesbrough Young Creatives then will board the train back to Middlesbrough.

Travel fees and materials are subsidised by Curious Arts. Snacks are provided and a packed lunch is recommended.

Travel times will be shared no later than a week before travel. Tickets will be held by the facilitator on the day.

Middlesbrough

Group meets in Middlesbrough at 9:30am

Train for Middlesbrough leaves at 9:41am and returns at 7:20pm

Group meets in Newcastle at 11am

Bus leaves Newcastle at 11:25am and arrives back at 5:30pm
