This program will discuss bird-friendly design that covers food, shelter and water. Discover which trees, shrubs, vines and herbaceous plants have been shown to provide premier nesting sites and an abundance of bird food through the insects they attract and the seeds and fruit they produce. You will gain a better understanding of how native plants are vital to bird habitats and what you can do to promote birds in your own landscape. After the presentation, the group will take a walk in the prairie with Alan to look for birds.
