About this Event

Curious about birds and the incredible species we have here in the Pacific Northwest? Join professional naturalist and experienced birder Kate Brown for a relaxed Saturday bird walk at Whatcom Falls. We will chat about what to look and listen for while birding, discuss some of the common species we are likely to spot in this park and what makes them unique- then meander the trails while birding and chatting. Bring any binoculars you might have (I own a few to share!). This park is frequented by Belted Kingfishers, Osprey, and diverse ducks + songbirds.

Accessibility Note: We will be meeting at the entrance to Whatcom Falls located at 1401 Electric Avenue- directly across from Lafeen's Donuts. The trails we will be exploring are a mixture of flat and inclined hills, and the trail surface is made up of hard packed dirt, pavement and gravel. Bathroom Facilities are available at the trailhead.
