Birds and Bees - Paint your own birdhouse with Caroline Dowsett

Join Caroline Dowsett, Treehouse Manchester’s first artist in residence to paint a colourful and nature inspired birdhouse for you to take home and welcome birds into their new colourful home, or use as a decorative piece for your own home.

Let your imagination run wild as you create beautiful spring-themed birdhouses together. We shall be drawing inspiration from flora dotted around the workshop, welcoming in Spring.

We shall be using this session as a meditative painting practice, to step into that flow state, to feel relaxed, and inspired by nature.

Caroline shall run you through painting techniques, using Manchester based brand Little Greene’s beautiful exterior paint, in a range of colours inspired by Treehouse interiors.

All the paints, brushes and birdhouses are provided, you just have to apply your creativity inspired by the nature inspired prompts provided by Caroline and our surroundings of Treehouse.

What to expect from our two hours together:

- Welcome herbal teas

- Intro from Caroline and a run through finding your own inspiration

- Painting demo from Caroline

- An hour and fifteen minutes to make your own birdhouse creation

- Wrap up houses and take home for yourself, or birds for your garden!

This in-person event is perfect for kids and the adults too, so bring the whole family along for a workshop of artistic fun. No experience necessary, just your imagination.

Location: 'Cedar' room, 1st floor, Treehouse hotel Manchester

This workshop is suitable for ages above eight years old, but will need to remain with a guardian.
