About this Event
Join SJRA Director Liz Cernik for a walk through the azaleas at Ravine Gardens State Park as she looks for Black-and-white Warblers, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Cedar Waxwings, Eastern Phoebes, and perhaps an Orange-crowned Warbler or two as they begin their Spring migration. Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers have also been spotted in the Spring. As far as other woodpeckers, the Park has all of the usual suspects (Pileated, Red-bellied, and Downy).
The Park has good walking paths and viewing stands, but there are rather steep stairs to get to some of the paths.
Meet us in front of the Conference Center at 8:15 (the Park opens at 8:00 AM). Restroom facilities are available.
Bring a hat, good walking shoes, sun/bug spray and water.
There is a $5 fee per car for users of the park.
