About the location:
Fort Cooper State Park features a walking trail that includes both a paved bike/walk path and natural trails. Our walk will explore sandhill environments and hardwood hammocks, which have uneven terrain and exposed roots. After the walk, there will be a sit-and-watch experience, providing an excellent opportunity to observe birds while discussing their species and behaviors. Since part of the walk takes place in full sun, it's recommended to bring sunscreen and a hat. Additionally, restroom facilities are available at this location.
Please bring water, snacks and bug spray, and any other necessities you will need.
Please note there is a 3$ Park entry fee. We’ll meet at the Rec Hall.
