Join Kira, Restoring Lands’ bird expert, and Medhavi, Chief Scientist of Lake Michigan Bird Observatory for a fun, early-morning migratory bird walk at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve near Port Washington. All who are interested in birds are welcome!Registration is required, please RSVP at the link. Participation is limited to 30 people. The event is free to attend.
Parking: There is free parking in the parking lot, and along Country Club Rd.
Available Equipment: We will have 12 binoculars available for loan and 2 monoculars available for loan. We will also have various field guides available for use.
What to Bring: Binoculars, spotting scopes, or monoculars are not required but please feel free to bring your own! Personal water bottles and snacks are recommended. Wear or bring anything needed for personal comfort outdoors such as jackets, thin gloves, hats, closed-toe footwear, portable seats, and sunglasses. Sunscreen and bug spray will be available for use at the event, but feel free to bring your own personal preference.
