Join us at the start of spring migration for a relaxing birding and nature connection gathering for parents of babies and toddlers (older kids are welcome) at McCarthy Youth & Conservation Park in Cottage Grove. Leslie, a local babywearing expert, will bring a selection of baby carriers along if you'd like to try something new during our walk, and she will also offer fit checks for carriers that people bring along with them.
Samantha, a local author and nature nerd, will share some birding picture books and lead us on a relaxed nature walk as we listen and look for birds, animal tracks, and other signs of spring through the fields and woods. You are invited to stay at the park and continue your playful exploration after the event. Please dress for the weather and be aware that there are no toilets, changing tables, or playground facilities at the park; coffee shops and gas stations are located nearby. Meet at the open-air shelter near the parking lot.
This program is for ages 0-2, Siblings are welcome.
