Birding Walk at Hyatt Hidden Lakes

Registration is required to attend this event as space is limited. Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon as we explore Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve, a 53-acre haven for birds and animals. The reserve provides safe and scenic habitat for a variety of waterfowl and songbirds, including Great Blue Herons, White-crowned Sparrows, and American Coots. Plan on walking up to 2 miles on packed gravel paths, which may include some inclines.

Accessibility: This event is appropriate for those with visual impairment, but trails are unpaved and steep parts of the path are unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 8:00am - 11:00am. Check-in is at 7:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.

: The parking lot on N Maplegrove at the North end of the reserve. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)

What to Bring: Layers for Weather, sun protection, closed-toe shoes, binoculars, a scope if you have one, and water. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: Restrooms will be available.

Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI, steady precipitation forecast, or the trails are not suitable for ethical passage, the trip may be cancelled.
