Join us for a birding outing with Martha Wild on Sunday, January 26 from 8 AM to 11 AM. Santee Lakes is a chain of seven lakes that began as a wastewater recycling facility but is now a public park. This riparian habitat supports a large number of diffferent bird species that feed in the lake or in the grass, shrubs, and trees along the shores and islands. In addition, the lake is between the coast and the foothills, and thus birds from both areas overlap at this point and are found here. Come explore the rich diversity of this pretty park with us!
