Join the Bruce Museum and Greenwich Audubon for a tour of the neighboring Oneida Sanctuary. Tours will go from the Bruce Park Playground to Audubon's neighboring Oneida Sanctuary, one of Greenwich's only remaining coastal salt marshes. This location not only provides an opportunity to see bird species that use this special habitat such as waterfowl, shorebirds, herons & egrets but also learn about Audubon's conservation efforts to improve our coastal resiliency in Greenwich.February 15th's program will also coincide with Cornell's GREAT BACKYARD BIRD COUNT, a weekend-long, worldwide bird community science survey where all checklists submitted will be used as valuable data on bird populations. We will be submitting a checklist from this tour to the Great Backyard Bird Count as part of our series of GBBC programs throughout the town of Greenwich.
Please make your reservation! Tour meets in the Bruce Museum Lobby at 1:00 pm.
