Birding at Avimor: Spring Valley Creek

To secure a place at this event, registration is required. Please make sure ALL fields are filled out on the registration form and a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a walk along Avimor's Spring Valley Creek.
The pace will be slow to allow everyone to enjoy the birds and watch any interesting bird behavior. We'll be on the lookout for a variety of winter birds including chickadees, juncos, sparrows, goldfinches, wrens, and if we're lucky, owls. Be prepared to walk about 2 miles on a single track trail loop with some deep sand and gravel.Recently reported species can be seen here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L714392

All experience levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.
Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Foothills Heritage Park. Please note: If trail conditions are not suitable for ethical passage, we will divert to an alternate location. Please check your email for any updates.
What to bring: Layers for weather, closed toe shoes, binoculars, sunscreen, water, and snacks as needed. Yaktrax are recommended if conditions are icy. No dogs please.
Restroom availability: There is a restroom at the Exxon gas station at the Avimor entrance. There may be a portable restroom open in the park.
