Walk the trails of World’s End, especially “Bird Alley” and “The Valley,” listening for bird songs and searching for bird activity as the temperatures cool. Positioned in Hingham Bay, World’s End offers an attractive green oasis for birds flying along the coast. Poor weather conditions and unfavorable fronts often force birds to make landfall which, while not so ideal for the birds, can result in spectacular birding for humans. We will leave the visitor’s kiosk together and spend two hours looking and listening for resident and migrant birds. You’ll join Sally Avery, who has been actively birding the many Trustees, Audubon, beaches, and town conservation lands in eastern Massachusetts for over 25 years. She has led countless bird walks for groups and specializes in introducing people to the satisfying hobby of birding by demonstrating proper use of equipment, field guides, and apps as an aid to identifying birds. Sally has also lectured on a variety of bird-related topics including bird vocalizations and landscaping for birds for the past 20 years.
