Whether you're a seasoned birder or a curious nature lover, this guided bird walk promises a unique opportunity to learn about the birds that thrive along the Arkansas River and how the same vital water source provides the local food we love. Come experience the rich history and ecosystem of the Arkansas River Trail in Pueblo as we peek into its beauty hiding in plain sight. Led by Jolene Collins, Community Engagement Manager for Palmer Land Conservancy, and Marla Browne, board member of Arkansas Valley Audubon Society and passionate birder, this walk is an experience you won’t want to miss. Your $20 ticket (KIDS JOIN FREE!) does double duty: it supports the Pueblo Food Project while sharing information about the water that sustains us all. Space is limited. Where: We will meet on the Charles W. Lee Bridge (see attached photo) at 10:30 a.m. and walk along the Arkansas River Trail
Parking: There is very limited parking at the base of the bridge but ample parking just up the hill near Rocco's Deli. This is a good address to use to find parking and our location:

BRING YOUR BINOCULARS! We'll have a couple pairs to share as well!
There are no restroom facilities at this location.
Wear layers and comfortable shoes as we will be outside the entire walk. Check the forecast before you go.
