✨ Bird Mountain Stringband is a bluegrass and old-time ensemble rooted deep in the hills of Vermont. The family trio features farmer, father, and guitarist Adam Stevenson, alongside his sons Zenon and Micah, joined by their close friend Sam Merwin on bass. A skilled multi-instrumentalist with a strong foundation in traditional bluegrass, Sam brings precision and steadiness to the group’s sound. Together, they share a deep, genuine love for traditional music, delivering performances that feel both timeless and deeply connected to place.

Beyond the live music stage, Garlic Town USA is an annual celebration of garlic, farmers, and our Southwest Vermont region. Garlic Town USA features 130+ curated vendors from farmers and makers to artisans, entertainment all day with live music, chef demonstrations, kids and family activities, tractor rides, and more. We have 100+ volunteers, plus free parking and shuttle rides available.
Garlic Town USA — 30+ years of flavor and stinkin' fun — returns to Downtown Bennington every Labor Day weekend.
