This joyful and enriching course will consist of four online classes plus four in-person birding field trips. Online classes will take place on Wednesday Evenings March 5, 12, 19, & 26 from 6:30 - 8:00pm. Field trips will take place Saturday Mornings March 8, 15, 22, & 29 from 8:00 - 11:00am at various locations within 30 min drive from Sylva.Participants will learn and practice the four foundational skills of bird identification to recognize and get to know the birds in your backyard and beyond. You’ll learn which features to focus on each time you see a new bird and where to go locally to find rich bird habitats. Join our supportive community of bird lovers and bird-curious beginners for this amazing learning journey.
