The community is invited to Tropical Audubon Society’s 11th Annual BIRD DAY for a free, engaging, educational afternoon chock-full of enriching outdoor experiences on the non-profit’s wooded Steinberg Nature Center grounds. The Saturday, February 15 nature festival features interactive activities and prizes, and is designed for families with young children, students of every age, scouts, birders and naturalists. “Meet” rehabilitated wildlife rescued by the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station and Wildlife Rescue of Dade County. Take part in Owl Pellet dissection. Craft Piping Plover “chicks.” Hone your binocular skills. Try your hand at Nature Journaling. Sing eco-themed songs with folk artist Grant Livingston.
