The Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative in collaboration with Explore Lincoln City and Lincoln City Parks and Rec is please to bring back the Biosphere Beach Ambassador program in 2026!What is it? Meet your friendly Biosphere Beach Ambassadors—right where the waves, rocks, and tidepools come alive. Stationed at a popular beach access in Lincoln City, they’re here to welcome you, share cool science about the creatures of the nearshore, and help everyone enjoy this special place with care. Come say hello, ask a question, and discover what’s living in the Cascade Head Marine Protected Area.
Doubling Down ~ In 2026, the program continues to build on earlier Biosphere Beach Ambassador efforts by offering twice as many low tide opportunities as last summer. Plus our lead, Josh Havelind, will be joined by a team member from Lincoln City Parks and Rec to double the presence each of those low tide days. Visitors are invited to explore marine species in the tidepools, learn how to minimize their impact, and connect with the conservation, research, and community stewardship that define the Cascade Head Biosphere Region.
Ambassadors will be stationed at NW 15th Street beach access in Lincoln City, near the tidepools, one hour before and after low tide on the following dates:
