You know how important it is to attract beneficial insects to your backyard to help pollinate your greenery. One native pollinator that helps your garden grow is the hard-working blue orchard mason bee (Osmia lignaria). But how do you attract them to your garden, keep them happy and healthy and entice them to stay? Join Clallam County Master Gardener Shelly Deisch for the Green Thumb Education Series presentation for “Biology and Backyard Care of Blue Orchard Mason Bees: Part 1” and find out more on how to care for these gentle buzz’em buddies. One door prize will be given to help kickstart a gardener’s backyard mason bees! (Photo of mason bee house at Woodcock Demonstration Garden by Lorraine Eckard.
