4 weeks of feedback, advice, and technical insight on your work
About this Event

Join us for a fully online critique class focused on art and design practices that work with nature! This class is a space for biodesigners, biomaterialists, arts and ecology practitioners, environmental artists, next gen material makers, and anyone working across the intersection of sustainable or regenerative making practices!

In this international critique class we will be bringing together diverse practitioners, students, and teachers from across the globe to carve out specilaised time for feedback and discussion of their work. There are very few spaces focused on biodesign and regenerative making and this crit class aims to fill the gap in biodesign+ education. Whether you are in a formal university program but your department isn't trained in ecological making methods; are burning through online biomaterial libraries with limited success; or just need extra support and advice in your biodesign+ project this is the space for you!

Perfect for designers and artists working with mycelium, bioceramics, and living systems.

Class Structure

Each class will start with a short 15 minute talk on a method, idea, recipie, or case study in biodesign or ecological art followed by student project critique. Expect to have work critiqued 2-4 times during the 4 week online class. Outside of class hours there will be groups for student discussion and office hours to get more feedback from your peers and instructor.
