Course Description
Bioceramic materials have transformed modern endodontics, but do all products deliver on their promises? With an expanding array of materials marketed for root canal obturation, vital pulp therapy, perforation repair, and other clinical applications, distinguishing meaningful scientific advances from marketing hype can be challenging. This evidence-based presentation critically examines the science behind contemporary bioceramic materials, exploring their composition, mechanisms of action, clinical indications, and limitations. Participants will evaluate the available research, compare material properties, and examine how differences in formulation influence clinical performance. Through a practical, clinically focused approach, this course will help clinicians distinguish the materials that offer meaningful advantages from those with limited evidence or questionable clinical value—and make more informed decisions about incorporating bioceramics into everyday endodontic practice.
