BioBlitz Community Event

Calling all nature lovers, families, and curious explorers! Join us for a community BioBlitz — a fun, hands-on event where participants of all ages work together to find and document as many living species as possible. Discover the beauty of the Wetlands and explore the wonders of Lytle Creek as we search for birds, insects, plants, fish, and everything in between.
Why join?
- A BioBlitz is citizen science in action! Every plant, animal, and insect you spot helps build a real snapshot of the biodiversity in our own backyard. It's a great way to learn from local naturalists, connect with your community, and experience the Wetlands and Lytle Creek in a whole new way.
No experience needed — just bring your curiosity!
What to bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes that can get a little muddy
- Water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray
- A smartphone or camera to photograph your finds (the iNaturalist app is a great tool!)
- Binoculars or magnifying glasses if you have them
