Mr. Pennygaff (Keith Bindlestiff/ Keith Nelson), co-founder of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus takes you on an entertaining “tour” of the American Midway, from the Sideshow to the Big Top. Mr. Pennygaff presents jaw-dropping sideshow feats and a showcase of amazing stunts and circus skill including spinning tops, spinning plates, spinning ropes, and whirling machetes. He will swallow swords and show you why they call him the human blockhead.
Keith Nelson learned to juggle and eat fire at Hampshire College in 1989. Following college he moved to New York City and became a professional entertainer. Keith swallows swords, spins tops, juggles plates, balances glasses, and manipulates just about anything.
In 1995 he co-founded Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, a national touring troupe and performing arts organization.
Keith has toured with circuses, carnivals, and sideshows.He has worked casino stages, historic opera houses, and international festivals. Television appearances include Late Night with David Letterman, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with James Corden, OZ (season one), BBC, VH-1, MTV…. From New York City, to the Bahamas, from Guyana to Thailand, from Flint to China, and across the United States, Keith has taught thousands of people to juggle and balance objects, and entertained millions more.

Since 1995 the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus has traveled the world, bringing its unique hybrid of Vaudeville, Circus, Burlesque, and Sideshow to theaters, clubs, colleges, and festivals. We have produced over a dozen Off and Off Off Broadway shows; custom performances for special audiences; all-ages and family productions; and sophisticated adult shows.
Bindlestiff adds a contemporary twist to the grand traditions of American Circus. Over three decades, the Bindlestiff Family has featured almost 500 world-class artists from countries across North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Bindlestiff co-founders Keith Nelson and Stephanie Monseu personal dedication to the variety arts, circus, vaudeville, sideshow, and burlesque has made the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus famous among audiences and within the variety performance community.

Parking is limited at the venue so please utilize the three public parking lots in Town. One is across from the Post Office, one is behind Berkshire Bank and the other is just off Main Street. They are clearly marked. Do not park at Trúc Orient Express Restaurant or the Post Office or you might receive a ticket.
