BillBone Paddle the Peanut is a magical SUP and Sit-down Craft experience around the crystal-clear waters of Peanut Island. Whether you're racing, looping, or just cruising, the course delivers epic coastal views, chill vibes, and unforgettable tropical memories.
From first-timers to seasoned paddlers, everyoneβs welcome β friends, families, adventurers, and even your pets! Choose your challenge with competitive Surf-Ski, SUP and OC1/OC2 races or keep it relaxed with fun SUP rentals, kayaks, and the Paddle with My Dog division. Rentals available β paradise is calling!
π The Course
Launch from the stunning Riviera Beach Marina Village, glide through the protected Intracoastal, and orbit the historic Peanut Island.
Distance: 2 miles for each loop around the island including the water/beach start at Riviera Beach Marina Village
Water Conditions: Calm, tidal, protected
Swag: Newly branded embroidered BillBone Paddle the Peanut beach towel.
Fun Tip: Hug the shoreline! Green buoy marks your return.

Professional Chip Timing: Foam waterproof ankle timing bands

Safety: Palm Beach County Marine unit has been advised of the event and is available for emergencies. We also have one observation boat during event

π Safety & Notes:
Course Safety Monitoring: We will have a observation safety boat to assist paddlers and oversee on-water safety. The safety boat will be equipped with communication and emergency gear. To request assistance, raise your paddle vertically and wave clearly. If you have to exit the event early please advise our staff.
Swim Ability: All participants should have the ability to swim as least 200 yards without any assistance and that they are comfortable paddling in open water.
Weather & Weather Conditions: The event may be delayed or canceled if conditions are unsafe (e.g. lightning, high winds, rough water conditions) Participants will be notified via email and announcements at the staging area.
Prohibited Conduct: Alcohol and drug use before or during the event is strictly prohibited. Unsafe, aggressive, or reckless paddling will result in removal from the event.
SUP 14' Competitive: ~ Competitive 14' SUP participants will start from the shoreline and return to the Start/Finish area to cross the line after completing 2 full laps.
SUP Recreational - Recreational SUP participants will start from the shoreline and complete one full lap.
Surf Ski, OC1 and OC2 - This is an in water start where you will complete 3 laps around Peanut Island and on your final lap you will head back to the Start/Finish line where you will have to dismount from your vessel and cross the finish line.
Recreational Kayaks - This is an in water start where you will complete 1 laps around Peanut Island and on your final lap you will head back to the Start/Finish line where you will have to dismount from your vessel and cross the finish line.
Paddle with my Dog: This category is designed for those who can not be without their dog. Dogs life jackets encouraged! You will complete one lap around the island. The use of a SUP board is required for a podium placement.
Leash: Leashes are recommended for all competitors to ensure safety during the event
Hydration & Sun Protection: Paddlers are responsible for their own hydration and should bring sunscreen and sun-protective gear.
Personal Flotation Device (PFD): All participants must always either wear or secure to the paddle craft a U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) while on the water. Inflatable belt-style PFD's are allowed if worn and used per manufacturer instructions.
Rentals: Limited rentals available, first-come, first-served.

Entry: $60 (add $10 after July 5) (service & merchant fees not included)
First 100 entries will receive a embroidered beach towel
Included: Embroidered 'BillBone Paddle the Peanut' beach towel, Single day membership - American Canoe Association (ACA) insurance for SUP/Paddle events ($10 and included in the registration fee), professional timing, safety support, finish-line fruit/beverages and music.
