October 9- Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers. Bill Murray is an award-winning American actor, comedian, and writer. Murray is known for his deadpan delivery in roles ranging from studio comedies to independent dramas. He has appeared in movies such as Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, Stripes, Lost in Translation just to name a few. Murray is also famous for his work on Saturday Night Live.
Murray recently made an appearance at the Big Blues Bender at Westgate’s International Theater in September. He joined his Blood Brothers featuring Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, along with The Bender Brass horn section for a memorable set. Bill Murray & his Blood Brothers tore through The Beatles (and before that, Larry Williams’) “Slow Down,” and Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.” The crowd joined in for the Dylan classic, shouting back, “Like a rolling stone!” as Murray delivered good ole’ rock n roll music in an energetic and inspired that was true-form Murray.
